Concluded visits programme:
The visit to the C.I.M implies to give continuity to a work, prior or no, made in the classroom with the teaching staff, and thinking about future activities, so that students can acquire knowledge and awareness of mining, where such learning can be presented in our teaching classroom, programmed for this purpose.
The aim is to avoid the visit as a simple excursion, trying the student or visitor to get a vision and knowledge of the major mining work, and the dangers that this entails.
The teacher can use the resources of the C.I.M with the students, according to the objectives, either with their own methodology, or accompanied by the tour guides of the centre.
It is important to get a composition of place and space to visit: rooms, objects, games, tour, all the things will facilitate you the development of the visit.
Experience has shown us that an adjusted visit to the information provided by the C.I.M is valid, but it will be also very useful if we contextualise the objectives and contents that are intended to develop over the course of these students.
During the visit to the C.I.M, for a good use of it, we recommend that teachers cooperate with the guide-monitor, because he/she is fully aware of the characteristics of students, their language, level and how to relate and to grasp the content.
After the visit, and returning to the classroom, the activity that began in the C.I.M, should not conclude .It is advisable that the information collected by the students, can generate a class discussion or a series of activities to get a start sharing of experience in the Interpretation Center of Coal Mining.
The length of the visit, and the treaty contents, videos, audio, explanations etc; will change depending on the level and age of group( history of mining in the basin of Rubagon, the steam engine, energy sources, the Industrial Revolution….etc.).
